What will you be doing?

The Literary and Scientific Institute (LSi) in Bridport is a vibrant community hub providing cultural, social and educational opportunities in an innovative charitable and commercial partnership with a leading high-tech crowdfunding business. An imposing Georgian grade 2* listed building, the LSi was rescued, renovated and repurposed by Bridport Area Development Trust (BADT), a group dedicated to preserving great buildings and spaces, helping to create jobs and supporting the local economy.

What are we looking for?

Some relevant background in Building Services, Construction or Engineering is essential and experience of the voluntary or charity sector would be useful.

What difference will you make?

As a trustee and part of our Board , you will help support and shape our work and strategic direction and have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity.

You will also be responsible for establishing good working relationships with clients, and other businesses in the local area, aligning preventative maintenance with current and future business requirements and goals and managing building services and maintenance within budget by identifying cost-effective solutions.
