As a Trustee, you will provide strategic direction, governance, and oversight to support our mission. You will attend board meetings, contributing to decision-making, ensuring financial sustainability, and upholding legal and ethical standards.

Trustee/Board Member Description

We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation. As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the charity, providing governance, oversight, and support to ensure that our mission is achieved effectively and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in regular board meetings, bringing your expertise and perspectives to decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation’s strategic plans and goals.
  • Oversee financial management, ensuring the organisation operates within budget and is financially sustainable.
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on risk management and help identify opportunities for organisational growth and improvement.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the organisation, promoting its values and mission to external stakeholders, partners, and the community.
  • Support fundraising efforts and contribute to the development of key partnerships and collaborations.
  • Ensure that the voices of service users and stakeholders are considered in decision-making processes.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for individuals with expertise in Legal, HR, health & Safety and Risk Management to help strengthen our Board. Your experience in these areas will be crucial in ensuring the organisation remains compliant with legal requirements, fosters a positive working environment, and effectively mitigates risks. You will play a key role in providing governance and strategic oversight, helping us navigate challenges and ensure the long-term sustainability of our mission.
