Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

We’re Lia’s Wings.  The UK’s national and international aeroplane ambulance charity flying families in their time of need.  Join us as a Trustee in providing hope and care when it’s needed most.

What will you be doing?

Lia’s Wings is a pioneering UK charity providing urgent and emergency air transport services for premature babies and sick children. We deliver life-saving care during critical medical incidents across the UK and internationally, including repatriating UK children who experience unexpected health crises abroad. As the first UK charity to offer this service at no cost to families, we are entirely funded by donations. Our small, dedicated team is committed to ensuring that every child in need can access vital care, regardless of location.

More information about Lia’s Wings is available at https://www.lias-wings.org.uk.

  • Support and Challenge: Work collaboratively with the CEO and management team, providing guidance and constructive challenge to help them deliver operational excellence.
  • Fundraising and Development: Leverage your network and expertise to support and enhance the charity’s fundraising efforts, helping to secure sustainable funding sources.
  • Advocacy and Awareness: Act as an ambassador for Lia’s Wings, promoting our mission and building relationships with donors, partners, and the wider community.
