We are a small charity in central London looking for a Trustee to join our board and contribute particular expertise in IT

What will you be doing?

As well as your wide responsibilities as a charity trustee, you will:

  • Advise the Board and staff on IT/digital strategies and implementation,
  • Keep us aware of relevant new developments in IT
  • Advise on appropriate IT training and budget for trustees, staff and volunteers

What are we looking for?

We will look for:

  • A substantial working background in IT
  • An ability to attend and contribute to 4 or 5 board meetings a year in the early evening
  • The possibility of coming to working groups or meetings on site by agreement and dealing with relevant matters online
  • An appreciation of the rewards and challenge of being part of a valuable small charity

What difference will you make?

At a time of great stress for our beneficiaries and of tight resources for our funders, you will lead our trustees and staff on the development and maintenance of efficient and cost-effective IT systems.

What's in it for the volunteer?

  • You will be part of a charity doing important and valued work for parents and their families who are suffering from many disadvantages in our community.
  • Your general life-experience and your specialist expertise in IT matters will be much appreciated.
  • Our board and staff are friendly and relaxed while maintaining excellent professional standards and we recently were awarded a Queen's `Award for Volunteering
