Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

The ideal person will be passionate about outdoor activities and community engagement, with excellent organisational and communication skills. This involves a range of activities including group walks, cycling and residential events.

What will you be doing?

Peak District Mosaic is a charity whose aim is to create and sustain engagement between the Peak District National Park, North York Moors National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park and new audiences, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities living around the borders of the Peak District National Park.

We are recruiting Trustees to join our Board, with vacancies for Secretary; Vice Chairperson; Activities & Events Coordinator; Finance and Business Planning Committee member.

We welcome applications from people who have a lived experience – with an understanding of working with or have worked with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, and the importance this brings to building a sustainable organisation that is truly beneficial for the needs of the community.

The applicant must be legally eligible to stand as a registered Charity Trustee.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have had experience of work (voluntary or paid).

What are we looking for?

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inform participants effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with voluntary and statutory organisations, and other stakeholders.
  • Passion for Outdoor Activities: A genuine interest in outdoor activities and promoting physical wellbeing.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage logistics effectively and maintain accurate records.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing circumstances or unexpected challenges.
  • Collate reports for Trustees and Committee meetings.
  • Desire/willingness to participate in relevant training and gain a walker leader’s qualification.
  • Ability to use Google Workspace.
  • Preferred Skills – Experience with Eventbrite and WordPress.

What difference will you make?

The Activities and Events Coordinator Trustee will be overseeing, managing and promoting the schedule of group activities for Peak District Mosaic - helping hundreds of people from diverse communities to access and enjoy their local National Parks.
