We are currently seeking trustees to sit on the board of Mercia MS Therapy Centre. Our centre provides therapies and support for people with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions. 

What will you be doing?

As a trustee you will be involved in the governance of the charity setting the strategic direction as well as supporting the centre manager. The centre celebrated its 35th year in 2019, a very exciting time to be involved in setting the direction of the charity. We are in a steady position as we consider how we continue to meet the ongoing and emerging needs of our members. By becoming a trustee you will ensure all of this happens by attending and contributing to quartlerly meetings.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking people who are commited to the values of the charity, who are dedicated to fundraising who have confidence to set and achieve high level goals. We are also seeking a mix of skills and experience to complement our current board members. 

  • someone with excellent IT and website knowledge 
  • an understanding of the challenges facing small uk charities in maximising income streams
  • experience in community and corporate fundraising 
  • excellent networking and communication skills

What difference will you make?

The charity has exciting plans to expand our services and is looking for foward-thinking active board members to drive our next stage of development.

Trustees will work with the rest of the board and centre manager to set vision and strategy for the charity. They will provide governance oversight of the strategy ensuring the charity's resources are expended in an inclusive, efficient manner working within the chairty's aims and objectives.
