We are a registered charity in Edinburgh and are looking to help children and young people nationwide through research into mental illness.
We have 4 trustees. 2 have a background in finance (but not as accountants) and one manages a 200 strong team of social workers. We are looking to add weight to our board as we launch and start fundraising. We consider ourselves as a high potential pre-revenue start-up with the long term aim of raising £20m. You could have any one any of a number of charity and business skills that would add value to us.
Fundraising is a key area for the organisation; however we welcome applicants with one or more of the following:
There is no charity in the UK dedicated to researching and campaigning for children, young people and their families affected by mental illness and the stigma attached. There is clear blue water for us and the news flow from celebrities, royalty and politicians is all positive.
Funds raised will be spent on researching new treatments and cures for children and young people affected by mental illness and on campaigning for equality for people affected by mental illness.
If we get this right. If you help us get this right. We can build a substantial organisation making a difference to the lives of 3 million children and young people.
