Moor Trees is a Devon based charity that exists to restore native broadleaf woodland on Dartmoor in response to the climate and nature crises. We provide the local community with unrivalled access to locally sourced and grown broadleaved trees.
Trustees are responsible for the breadth of our work. We welcome applicants with a broad range of skills, we are particularly looking for people with skills, knowledge and connections in the fields of:
- Revenue generation - developing commercial income streams and philanthropic giving
- Marketing and communications including digital marketing
- Expanding a high-quality volunteer base
- Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks and access to green finance
- Philanthropy sector (grant-making trusts, foundations and major donors)
- Land ownership and expertise in creating healthy woodland in the UK and uplands including the impact of climate change
We are particularly interested in individuals with the following experiences:
- Developing commercial income streams
- Expanding a high-quality volunteer base
- Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks
- Philanthropy sector (grant-making trusts, foundations and major donors including High Net Worth Individual Fundraising)
By being a member of our Board of Trustees you will have strategic oversight of the charity and guide its progress towards achieiving its bold ambition to significantly increase the area of tree cover on Dartmoor and surrounding areas.
