Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

We are looking to strengthen our Board by adding additional Trustees.

What will you be doing?

The work we do here facilitates our ability to positively impact the local community, either directly, or in-directly via the support we give to local charities, such as Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, STAY, Victim Support, Yellow Ribbon, Resource, Healthwatch and T&W Care Leavers, who all have a base here.

We are particularly interested to connect with people who have a background working within finance, business, HR, IT or have experience within the voluntary or charitable sector.

What are we looking for?

Meeting Point house is run by a Board of Trustees which includes representation from the local authority, Faith and local business.  To further strength our board we welcome applications from people who specifically have a background in Finance, HR, I.T and the voluntary sector.

As a developing, and progressive board we would also be interested to talk with people looking to enter higher education who are able to commit to a minimum term of 12 months.  The experience gained, as a board member, would be most beneficial when applying for university.

What difference will you make?

The board of trustees play a crucial role in fostering creativity within our organisation by creating an environment that supports and rewards creative thinking and innovation.  By promoting empathy within the organisation and prioritising stakeholder needs, actively listening, seeking feedback, and engaging directly with stakeholders trustees can build trust and create a more inclusive and collaborative culture.
