WeExist! Foundation is looking for trustees to oversee and support the work of the recently established non-profit.
The Foundation was founded as a response the the war Russia has waged on Ukrain and many Russians fleeing the country in protest to the war. Many musicians, writers, actors left the country as they felt it was impossible to stay silent and dangerous to speak.
At WeExist! we believe that culture shapes the world and can change it, culture is a universal language that we have in common. We also believe in the power of communities. Humankind lives and thrives through communities we create.
That’s why we’re committed to supporting the creative process in exile — for those displaced, for those rebuilding, and for those who share our belief in the transformative power of culture.
We promote projects of younger artists which are collaborative in nature and connect exiled artists to new audiences.
Trustees are expected to attend four board meetings per year plus any other ad hoc commitments in line with their specific specialisms. This role is voluntary, but we may cover any necessary expenses related to travel to attend the meetings. This is an exciting period for our foundation and a great opportunity for someone to get involved during the formative period of defining its work and developing relationships.
