Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

Dementia Together Wirral is currently in an exciting period of expansion and we are looking to recruit energetic trustees to join our dynamic and committed Board of Trustees.

What will you be doing?

Dementia Together Wirral's main aim is to help relieve social isolation by offering quality activities and events to people affected by dementia and their carer partners. We provide a community centred approach of interesting and varied activities in safe and friendly environments for those living with dementia throughout the Wirral Peninsula.

About you

The postholder will play a crucial team role on the Board of Trustees helping to maintain effective governance of DTW’s affairs and drive our wonderful charity forward.

We are looking for someone with skills that will compliment and enhance our Board such as

a desire to get involved and help shape our future.
a team player with good interpersonal skills.
skills that will compliment and enhance our Board. You may have a background in one or more of: digital marketing, social media, fundraising, HR, governance etc
strong communication and motivating skills.
honesty, integrity and professionalism at all times.
Willingness to support the work of the paid staff in ensuring the effective deployment of resources.
a ’can do’ attitude and a desire to solve problems.

be committed to the purpose, objects and values of the organisation

be able to maintain confidentiality on sensitive and confidential information
be supportive of the values (and ethics) of the organisation
understand the importance and purpose of meetings, and be committed to preparing for them adequately and attending them regularly
be able to analyse information and, when necessary, challenge constructively
be able to make collective decisions and stand by them
