Trustees for 6th Brighton Scout group

What will you be doing?

6th Brighton Scouts are looking for volunteer Trustees. We are looking for general Trustees, a Chair & a Secretary. No prior experience of the Scouts or scouting is required.

Trustees provide administrative support, strategic direction, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and duties set out by The Scout Association. We meet 4 times per year and provide a few hours of support to the Group per month.

What are we looking for?

We are looking Trustees that have experience in some or all of the following:

  • Governance 
  • Strategic development and planning
  • Financial 
  • Data protection / GDPR
  • Health and safety
  • Safeguarding

You do not have to have had experience of The Scout Association or scouting itself

We are a small team that support the volunteer leader team, who are responsible for day to day running of the sections

What difference will you make?

As a Trustee you will help shape the strategic direction of this very active Scout Group. 

The Board of Trustees is also responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and duties set out by The Scout Association.
