Are you passionate about tackling homelessness and making a real difference in your community? Threshold, a Swindon charity for people who are homeless, is seeking new Trustees to join our Board and help us transform lives.

What will you be doing?

About Us:Threshold has been at the forefront of addressing homelessness in Swindon for over 50 years. We provide crucial housing and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness, offering them the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and security.

The Role:As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the charity, ensuring we continue to provide the best possible services to people who are homeless in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills, knowledge, and expertise to help guide our future growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight and governance for the charity.
  • Ensure Threshold operates in compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Contribute to the development of the charity’s long-term strategy and vision.
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure sound financial management.
  • Act as an ambassador for Threshold and promote our work within the community.

What We’re Looking For: We welcome applications from individuals with a range of professional backgrounds, including (but not limited to):

  • Leadership, Finance, Legal, or HR expertise.
  • Housing and homelessness sector experience.
  • Marketing, PR, or fundraising skills.
  • Knowledge of charity governance and compliance.

No previous trustee experience is necessary—what’s most important is your commitment to our cause and a willingness to use your skills to drive positive change.
