Work is well underway planning KNA’s priorities for the next three years as we head towards our 50th Anniversary in 2027. Would you like to be considered to help with our planning or do you have ideas to share – whether as a volunteer or as a potential trustee? We are particularly interested in developing KNA's ambition to bring people and organisations together to address loneliness and isolation in Kew, to identify new ways to work in partnership with local clubs, societies, businesses, schools, churches.

Do get in touch if you have skills and interests in as broad a range of areas as safeguarding, fundraising, events, HR, IT systems and communications and marketing.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a number of trustees to join our board with a range of skills. We welcome applications from individuals with an interest in helping those needing support in our community to maintain their independence.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals with an interest in taking on a particular lead role – a Member of the Management Committee, Safeguarding, HR or Communications & Marketing lead.

We welcome applications from those with a range of backgrounds, ages, lived, learnt and practice experience. We are particularly keen to bring in additional skills and knowledge in the following areas:-

Human Resources;
Fundraising;
Safeguarding;
Medical/healthcare / social care;
Addressing loneliness associated with older people and inclusion;
IT / Websites
Media, Marketing & PR
Local government - experience or contacts in the voluntary sector in Richmond, and in relevant parts of Richmond Council would be helpful.

What difference will you make?

KNA has a new dynamic Chair. It is time invite new energy into our trustee board to work along side our already committed board. Our Volunteer and Client Survey's at the end of last year highlighted how valued KNA's services are and the impact they make. KNA's beneficiaries have an average of 82. Many are frail. At least 50% are none digital, and likely to remain so. Our volunteers keep our clients connected to their communities and vital services. KNA's current trustees and staff team welcome enquiries to keep KNA focused and forward looking as we head towards our 50th year.
