As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the charity's work and shaping its future. We value a diverse Board with a wide range of skills and experiences to ensure robust governance and effective decision-making. 

What will you be doing?

Following a skills gap analysis, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in marketing and/or fundraising.

  • As a Trustee you will provide leadership and direction for the organisation, including:
  • Provide leadership and direction for the organisation
  • Taking overall legal responsibility for the charity's work
  • Acting in the best interests of the charity
  • Contribute towards the Trustees fundraising annual target
  • Delegating day to day tasks to staff and volunteers
  • Make strategic decisions about the charity's future
  • Ensure everything is legal and safe
  • Support the manager, staff and volunteers
  • Oversee the charity’s work and ensure it aligns with our mission
  • Stay informed and skilled in your trustee role

More specifically, we are looking for:

  • Support the growth of our corporate and major donor fundraising activities by opening doors, developing relationships, and contributing to strategy.
  • Help diversify our income streams to maintain a sustainable charity.
  • Bring expertise in charity marketing communications and strategy to enhance our cause, elevate our beneficiaries’ voices, and strengthen our impact within the sector.
