This is an opportunity to join Trustees who have a diverse range of knowledge and skills including ethics, scientific, medical and nursing who work together to meet our Charitable objectives to educated health professionals and the public . 

What will you be doing?

The principle Charitable Objectives of the Society are:

  1. To advance the education and improve the practice of health professionals working in fertility, for the public benefit.
  2. To advance the education of the public on the science and treatment of infertility.

The Board meets at least twice per year and we are looking for an enthusiastic personality who wishes to engage with the world of science, ethics, medicine whilst ensuring the Society meets all financial requirements set by the Charity Commission. The Board meets at least twice per year and we are keen to engage someone who has experience in banking and finance with skills gained from working inthis sector would be particularly welcome.

What are we looking for?

The British Fertility Society Trustee's are looking for a colleague who has knowledge and experience in financial management. The Society are working hard to ensure we can meet our charitable objectives whilst utilising income and expenditure in the most efficient and effective way. This will require knowledge of investment strategies. Evidence of previous experience in investment would be extemely advantageous. 

What difference will you make?

The person we are looking for will have an impact on the Societies financial standing. This is a vital role to ensure projects to improve working standards and practices are set and achieved.  The role will also have an impact in working with the Trustees to make sure the public are aware of the advances in science and safe, effective treatment options available in the UK. This is a vital role, and as a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity.
