South Mitcham Community Association (SMCA) is a Community Centre based in heart of Phipps Bridge Estate . We are interested to hearing from individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets.
We are a small charity working to improve the quality of life for local families and individuals in Merton, especially those in areas of social and economic deprivation and those from disadvantaged groups. The legacy of the pandemic, the significant increase in the cost of living and the impact of financial restraint on services across the country mean that it has been another challenging year for SMCA. We are looking for Trustees who have drive and determination to help us take on some of challenges, with proven management and/or leadership experience, to address change and work through the improvements to support the charity. We are particularly interested in people with marketing, and communications skills, experience, or a good working knowledge of, one or more of the areas identified i.e. IT, Data Protection and Governance. We are also keen to talk to younger people and those with lived experiences.
