A Trustee is required for a small, independent charity, Age Concern North Dorset. We support over 55's, in Sturminster Newton and nearby area, offering services to reduce rural isolation and enhance health and wellbeing.
Age Concern North Dorset currently runs the following services:
Fortnightly Foot Clinic
Befriending and Bereavement support
Welfare Benefit Advice
Telephone Support
This role is vital for the continued success and development of our charity. We seek a confident person who would be suited to working on social media and interested in local out reach and promotion, to support the Board's strategy to expand services and geographical reach.
An interest in supporting older people.
Good communications.
Some experience of IT, social media and website maintenance.
Knowledge of employment law would be helpful.
Fundraising experience.
The ability to work well in a small team of volunteers.
