This voluntary role will involve planning, organising and overseeing campaigns and activities to secure funds for the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust. 

Working closely with the internal team as well as volunteers and supporters.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a dynamic and skilful fundraiser to create new and inspiring ways for our supporters to support our work, fresh fundraising campaigns thus increasing the Trusts financial sustainability.

The Primary objective of this role

To raise financial support by cultivating relationships with supporters, donors both individuals and corporate. Growing our covenantor numbers (individual supporters who give us regular monthly donations). 

Some of the key responsibilities of the fundraising manager include:

Coming up with ingenious way to raise awareness of the Trust. Implement a variety of fundraising campaigns. Ensure that the fundraising messages are aligned and consistent with our wider supporter engagement strategy. 

Organising and attending non- profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders. 

Establishing good relationships with our Board and Council, staff members, volunteers and members of the public.

We are looking for an experienced networker with leadership skills, who is proactive. 

 

What are we looking for?

About You

You will be an engaging communicator with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences.

Driven and motivated with relationship building and networking skills able to act as an ambassador for the Trust. 

Able to tackle challenges constructively and find creative solutions. 

A proven track record in fundraising, a knowledge of individual giving, digital giving, corporate and major donors fundraising and community fundraising. 

Data analysis skills.

Our workshop will be viewed by the 300,000 estimated visitors each year as our engineers build a new locomotive PRINCE OF WALES No. 2007
