Do you have fundraising experience? Are you interested in helping a small charity gain much needed funds to support music therapy? We are looking for someone to write compelling bids that lead to donations for Waves Music Therapy.
Waves Music Therapy work with people with additional complex needs including end-of-life care, trauma, attachment, profound learning needs and mental health needs. Music therapy is powerful and can be accessed by anyone, no matter what their need. We work with the most vulnerable and isolated people in our communities and through music provide meaningful opportunities for communication, play and connection. We are the only charity in the UK who fully fund music therapy sessions and without our service many in critical need would receive no support.
Can you help us to reach our goals by sharing your knowledge of writing grant and trust applications?
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be helping us to write compelling bids that lead to donations. We are looking for a great story teller, someone who can share the importance of our work, someone who can help trust and grant givers to see the difference our charity is making to people's lives every day.
What we are looking for someone with -
Volunteering for Waves Music Therapy as a trusts and grants fundraiser will make a huge difference.
We have big ambitions to grow as a charity and to be able to reach the ever growing number of people who urgently need our services. To be able to do this, we need to secure funding that will help us to move forward and will help us to grow.
Historically, we have been successful in trust and grant fundraising. Funders like what we do but the pandemic has been tough for charities and fundraising has become more competitive. For us to address this head on, we need to be writing more bids and looking at the way we write them too. You will become a part of our pandemic recovery, a part of our growth and ultimately a part of our success. We very much hope that in future we will be able to employ a fundraiser and maybe you can assist us in creating this long term role.
