We're looking for an experienced Treasurer to join our small, humble and unique charity. We offer hope after breast cancer by funding realistic 3D nipple tattoos for breast cancer survivors who deserve to feel whole again.

What will you be doing?

The treasurer will report to the committee via regular online zoom meetings and attend AGM and produce accounts for the charities financial year. The roles expected of the Treasurer are;

  • General financial oversight. Oversee and present budgets, accounts and financial statements to the management committee.
  • Financial planning and budgeting.
  • Financial reporting.
  • Banking, book-keeping and record-keeping.
  • Control of fixed assets and stock
  • Arranging prompt payments for charitable services following policy and procedures
  • Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
  • Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place.
  • Monitor and report on the financial health of the organisation.
  • Oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.

What are we looking for?

The treasurer will ideally have experience of charity financial administration, book keeping and accounting including knowledge of the rules that govern charitable companies.

We're looking for someone who is compassionate and understanding. Someone who can oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice. The treasurer would be required to report to the board of trustees and regularly report the financial position at committee meetings.

Key skills will include;

  • Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management (as necessary).
  • Good financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly

What difference will you make?

Having the support of an experienced Treasurer will help our newly registered charity have the support it deserves to grow.

We are currently run by a very small group of volunteers who are covering all the roles so our resources are stretched.  We are continuing to grow as an organisation rather rapidly and we are finding ourselves in a position where we need to use our strengths to focus on certain areas.

This is why we're looking to extend our team so we can continue to support breast cancer survivors in receiving these funded treatments and also support artists and volunteers who want to join our cause.

Before you apply

We appreciate this is a very unique opportunity and an exciting charity to be a part of! A lot of our time is focused and dedicated to the actual work we do, we're committed to making a difference through the good work we do and are looking for someone who can compliment our board with professionalism and compassion alongside us in our mission to continue to empower breast cancer survivors throughout the UK.
