This is an exciting opportunity for a woman to join our newly expanded Board of Trustees as we prepare to meet the challenges that increasing numbers of women face in their lives.
Over the past two years YWCS has undergone a transformation of our processes and expansion of our services. The appointment of experienced finance professional will add to the strength of our Board as we both systemise our approach to risk management and wish to build a longer financial plan to underpin our three year strategy.
We are looking for someone with the skills, experience, energy and time to commit to our important work. Through a combination of strategic insight and support for our staff team, you can help us further build our financial resilience and good governance.
You’ll be building on the work of our current treasurer who, after 20 + years of support, will continue the provision of our payroll services and the independent examination of our accounts. She will be there to offer help through a transition period.
As a key member of our board you will help to ensure the continued and growing success of York Women’s Counselling Service. By contributing your time, skills and experience, you will help us create new opportunities to expand our work, reaching more women in need and offering an evermore effective service in our local community. As a trustee you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of YWCS.
