Previous experience as a treasurer for a small organisation or charity. Able to work on own initiative, most of which can be carried out from home.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial Records

Maintain all financial records -spreadsheets for all receipts and payments; reconciling to bank accounts, reconciling Paypal receipts to events and subscriptions.

Bank Accounts

Signatory on all bank accounts -Barclays, CIOF and Paypal. Responsible for any changes of personnel, addresses etc. Updates of information as requested and as notified to the Charity Commission. Transfers to deposit accounts as required. Recommendations for investments/fixed bonds.

Quarterly Trustees Meetings

Four Trustees meetings are held each year for which the Treasurer produces Management Accounts and a Treasurer's report. Accounts are compared to the same period in the previous year, any significant changes are commented on.

Year End Financial Accounts 

Financial Accounts are produced annually to the 31 December. Working papers, spreadsheets and management accounts are sent to the Accountants who produce the accounts for approval by the Trustees. The Annual Report of the Trustees is also produced at this time.

Charity Commission

Annual return and any changes as required are submitted to the Charity Commission.

Gift Aid return

Annual Gift Aid return prepared and submitted

The Gardens Trust

Close association with the Gardens Trust, completion of annual renewal form and consideration of continuing with them for Insurance Cover.

Any ad hoc financial information as required by the Trustees,
