Gasped is a Wakefield based mental health charity request a person to become the Treasurer, to improve our charities financial  management and accountancy

What will you be doing?

Working with the Gasped board and liaising with the Operations Manager we would like you to manage Gasped accounts which include :help in budgeting Gasped projects, keeping accounts up to date,, cash flow forecasts, and liaising with Gasped accountant for the end of year accounts.

Gasped trustees meet about once per month , you will be required to deliver a report to the trustees along with any recommendations you may have to improve Gasped finances or financial management, during Covid-19 Gasped trustees have been meeting remotely and all reports go to the trustees a week before they meet, hopefully post Covid-19 we will be able to meet in person

Gasped is based in the city centre of Wakefield you may want to spend time at the office or work remotely.

What are we looking for?

A person with sound knowledge of financial management, Gasped current method of keeping our accounts to date is Quick Books good knowledge of their system is vital, including the ability to down load reports from Quick Books for other trustees, budgeting skills is experience is essential , good communication skills and the ability to explain financial management in laypersons terms. A desirable but not essential knowledge of the third sector.

What difference will you make?

With your help we will be able to continue to engage with our client base aiding mental health recovery and ultimately ensure the long-term sustainability of our organisation beyond the challenges presented by Covid-19.
