Treasurer sought for much loved charity which meets the multicultural care needs of minority Elders and celebrates diversity. Following recent major grant success, can you produce financial overview and advise team on cashflow?
To help the finance committee to:
1. review the draft of the three year business plan and annual budget and make recommendations on both to the Board of Trustees (known at BEMSCA as the Management Committee).
2. review performance against plan and budget and to understand and approve any significant variances in actual performance for the year to date and forecast results for the full year
3. take responsibility on behalf of the Board for overseeing all financial aspects of Charity operations so as to ensure short and long term viability
3. approve, within limits agreed by the Board, expenditure of a significant nature on new initiatives.
4. identify priorities for additional expenditure or for savings as actual income dictates. Propose options for timely actions to mitigate risks to satisfactory financial performance.
To help and guide the finance officer to produce these reports:
Income and expenditure report
Restricted/designated fund movement summary
Cash flow
Ideally a qualified management accountant. Experience of financial management in a charity setting. Ability to train others in producing financial reports. Enthusiasm for the joy of multi-cultural work and fulfilling the grant conditions of generous awards.
The Treasurer will make the crucial difference in translating the financial performance and planning to Trustees and the team. Following recent substantial grant success, we now need better financial oversight. BEMSCA is much loved as a community organisation and will be able to continue for at least another 30 years of celebrating multi-cultural diversity. You will support and help develop the finance officer, to be recruited shortly.
