Trustee sought to join charity as a treasurer.
Go To Many is seeking a trustee to take in a role as treasurer. I wish to register the charity as a CIO and require a further trustee to join us.
The role will require experience of some of the following
Financial Oversight and Governance:
Monitoring Financial Health, reviewing the charity’s financial status to ensure the organization is operating within its budget and managing resources effectively. This includes tracking income, expenditures, and cash flow.
Financial Reports :
Compliance with external organisations - audits
Financial Planning and Strategy
Budgeting: Financial forecasting, strategy, grants.
Risk Management
Managing Financial Risks : identifying financial risks, detecting fraud, monitoring over expenditure.
Donor Reporting: Ensuring that donations are properly recorded and reported.
Grant Management: The Treasurer may assist in managing grants, ensuring that funds are used as intended and compliance with any donor restrictions is maintained.
Banking and Financial Systems
Bank Accounts and Cash Management : Overseeing relevant processes are in place.
Financial Policies: Helping to develop and maintain financial policies for the charity, such as guidelines on how funds are spent, how expenses are approved, and how financial records are kept.
Reporting and Communication
Board Communication: Updating the Board.
Communicating with stakeholders etc.
Ensuring Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Tax Reporting Compliance
Support for Organizational Development
Advising on financial strategies that support the charity's long-term goals, such as establishing endowment funds or investing in projects that ensure the organization’s sustainability.
Your experience as a treasurer will be of vital importance to us as a charity. We require the expertise and knowledge of an experienced treasurer to help us mover towards our vision.
