Are you a qualified and experienced accountant, possibly working part-time, seeking a truly rewarding role with a growing £1/4M charity that provides specialist music services to disabled children and young people? If so, we would love to meet you!

What will you be doing?

You will manage our financial affairs, supervise our contracted bookkeeper and volunteer administrator, lead the finance and financial risk committee, liaise with our independent examiner and make decisions regarding investment and risk management

You will contribute to the Board’s growth plans helping Music of Life support many more children in special needs schools around the UK. And you will provide the financial information to help us create successful funding applications.

What are we looking for?

You will be a qualified accountant with experience most likely gained in small or medium sized organisations. Knowledge of charity accounting (SORP - Statement of Recommended Practice) would be an advantage but is not essential. You will be good at communicating financial matters to the Board and CEO.

What difference will you make?

You will ensure that at all times our financial position is sound and transparent and that our plans are financially viable. You will be a key member of our team working very closely with our actively engaged Board of Trustees.

Before you apply

Please see our Information Pack where more details are provided, then write to us with your CV and a cover letter explaining why you think this role if for you. (Please note - it is essential to provide a cover letter!) Applications will receive immediate attention, and we will interview suitable candidates at the earliest opportunity, so please apply as soon as you can.
