What will you be doing?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Treasurer to volunteer their financial expertise in managing our organisation's finances. Your role will be essential in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our association.

About Us: Cheetham Tenants and Residents Alliance is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all who live and work in Cheetham. We aim to foster a vibrant and inclusive community, offering a range of activities and support for our residents.

What are we looking for?

Your Role:

  • Manage and oversee all financial aspects of the association.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure proper financial controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Maintain accurate records of income and expenditure.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage annual audits.
  • Advise the board on financial matters and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Considerable experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A commitment to the mission and values of our association.
