Anteros is an arts charity dedicated to the education and promotion of the arts in Norfolk. We believe that art is fundamental to people’s wellbeing and that it should be open and accessible to everyone.
We are based in an historic building on Fye Bridge Street in Norwich where we provide an exhibition space and artists’ studios. We also run a variety of arts courses, put on music events and have a shop that sells work by local artists and makers.
We lease part of the space to The Merchant’s House café/bar and hire out our venue for meetings, weddings and other activities.
We employ a General Manager and three part-time staff, and have a growing team of volunteers.
Treasurer/ Role Description
This is a key role within the organisation and the treasurer will ensure that we have a good understanding of our finances at all times. You’ll be joining a small group of active and committed trustees (although we are aiming to increase our number) and will play an important role in the future of the charity.
The role of the treasurer involves:
Time Commitment
Probably around 8-12 hours per month.
As part of our board you will help shape our strategic direction and support and guide the General Manager and board members with regard to financial matters. This is an important role and your knowledge and experience will help keep our finances on track. A number of exciting changes are taking place at Anteros in the coming months and years for which we need someone with a good knowledge of finance to help shape and guide those changes. This is a chance to really make a difference to our charity and the provision of arts education in Norfolk.
