We will tailor the role to the volunteer's specialist skills and strengths and the hours to fit conveniently around your existing commitments.

We are a Community Interest Company and social enterprise managing Paradigm Prizes driving change and innovation to combat global conflict and global warming by championing CSR and humanitarian care and with a special focus on youth.

What will you be doing?

Responsibility:

  • Advising and managing financial governance
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Manage and deliver all annual and statutory financial reporting requirements
  • Prepare materials and presentations for attendance at board meetings.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process
  • Manage financial models
  • Assist in the annual financial audit as required
  • Ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles (UK GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Make improvements to the design of management accounts and financial reports, as required

What are we looking for?

Qualifications: 

  • Chartered accountant

Skills:

  • Experienced treasurer
  • Experienced in financial governance in both the corporate and not-for-profit sector
  • Financial strategist
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills working with front-line staff, management and board members, especially in a remote working environment.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Experience:

  • Experience of working with a C.I.C. a distinct advantage but not obligatory
  • Knowledge of applicable tax is an additional benefit but not obligatory
