Trauma-related support
We are looking for a trauma-related support from a highly trained mental health professional.
What will you be doing?
You will be dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced psychological trauma resulting from dealing with a wide array of experiences, such as abuse, violence or loss. This role is critical in helping us process distressing events, develop coping strategies, and regain a sense of safety and well-being.
What are we looking for?
· Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to determine the nature and extent of trauma. Use a variety of diagnostic tools, interviews, and standardized questionnaires to formulate a clear picture and inform treatment planning.
· Treatment Planning: Advise on intervention strategies and expected outcomes. Collaborate with the team to ensure plans are person-centred, measurable, and adaptable.
· Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based trauma-focused therapies suited to the needs of traumatised individuals.
· Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate psychological support and stabilization for those individuals experiencing acute distress. Introduce de-escalation techniques and safety planning as required.
· Education: Provide information on coping skills, self-care strategies, and available resources.
· Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress against treatment goals, and adjust interventions as necessary. Utilize outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy.
· Ethical Practice: Follow professional codes of conduct and maintain strict confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and respect for autonomy.
