We are looking for dedicated Trauma-Informed Therapists (English and bilingual Portuguese) to support individuals impacted by trauma, abuse. Join us in creating a safe and compassionate space where survivors can begin their healing journey.
We are seeking a Trauma-Informed Therapist to support individuals who have experienced trauma, including domestic abuse, human trafficking, and exploitation. The therapist will provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions, conduct assessments, and create tailored therapeutic plans to help clients navigate their healing journey. They may also contribute to developing resources or workshops aimed at empowering survivors.
The key deliverable for this role is to provide trauma-informed therapeutic support that enables clients to make measurable progress in their healing, such as improved coping mechanisms, emotional resilience, and personal empowerment.
The therapist will work closely with our case managers, support workers, and the leadership team to ensure clients receive holistic and coordinated care. Collaboration with a team of professionals will allow the volunteer to integrate therapeutic efforts with other services offered by our organization.
While the primary focus is on delivering trauma-informed therapy, the role is flexible. Depending on the volunteer’s expertise and interests, they may also assist in training staff, developing therapeutic programs, or creating resources to further support survivors and their families. We are open to adapting the role to match the volunteer’s unique strengths and contributions.
