We need someone who can help us to continue to help others and support us in our growth phase. Can you work with the other members of our Digital Team and our CEO to support the day-to-day running of the IT that facilitates our work?
We are keen to recruit one or more IT Support Technicians to work with our Digital Team Lead to support new and existing, experienced users to enable us to make more efficient use of IT in our work. We use Microsoft 365 and both desktop and web-based versions of most apps. Our email provision is all through Outlook, we also use Teams for meetings, SharePoint for sharing files, we also use Word and PowerPoint for preparation and delivering training and Excel is crucial to managing our finances and recording things effectively. We are starting to use PowerAutomate to streamline and/or automate some tasks.
We have the flexibility to accommodate various patterns of working. The amount of work varies from week to week depending on projects being run, recruitment cycles, etc. A set number of hours per week is less important than getting a job done well and when it is needed. A good work/life balance and self-care are also important so we will co-create a way of working together that meets everyone's needs and enables us all to feel fulfilled with the right amount of challenge to stretch and develop whilst also knowing you have support when needed.
We would like someone who can support our Volunteers, Associates and Trustees to extend their knowledge, skills and understanding of using IT as part of their roles.
This will include:
You will need to be flexible and friendly, patient and able to persevere with a range of people with a breadth of different experience of, or confidence in, using IT.
You will report to, and work with, our experienced Digital Team Lead who will assign you tasks using Asana project management app/website and in discussion in Teams meetings.
You will be asked to complete a simple Microsoft Forms application and then offered an initial informal Teams discussion with our Digital Team Lead to explore your interest in the role and how we might work together. A further discussion may take place with the CEO if we both agree you might be a good fit for the charity and the role. All of our appointments, whether volunteer or paid, are subject to our Safer Recruitment Policy which includes the need for 2 references.
This is an opportunity to work with a small but dynamic team who are passionate about ‘helping the world to feel a safer place for children with developmental trauma’ resulting from adverse childhood experiences. You will be bringing new ideas and possibilities to our organisation as we grow and need to use more IT to support improved communication, efficiency and efficacy within our organisation.
You will make a huge difference to our charity as we are a very small team currently. Initially you will work alongside the CEO and Digital Team Lead to enable them to focus on the strategic development of the charity and the delivery of projects.
What's in it for the volunteer?
We are growing and we'll guarantee there will be many opportunities to feel proud of your work and the difference you can make to our work.
