The Cassandra Centre has created a new trustee post focused on technology systems for charity operations and fundraising. We are inviting applicants with skills and interest in using information technology to improve service delivery.

What will you be doing?

The Cassandra Centre is looking to build an operational infrastructure using information and communication technology (ICT) to improve board operations and the delivery of counselling and community services.

The function of the Technology Systems Trustee is to:

  • Procure ICT software and tools 
    • Review available options
    • Assess costs and benefits
    • Offer recommendations
    • Oversee purchasing
  • Manage and maintain ICT software and tools
    • Build workflows as needed
    • Manage databases
    • Set up templates 
    • Address technical issues
    • Serve as main contact with suppliers
  • Report and analyse data
    • Create automated reports
  • Lead on technology-driven improvements and innovation 
    • Propose new ways of working 
    • Oversee implementation of technology projects
    • Offer guidance to staff and trustees on effective use of tools
  • Maintain data security and compliance with GDPR and other regulations

What are we looking for?

  • Successful track record in a technology or digital development role
  • Demonstrable and practical experience of delivering transformational change to charity and fundraising technologies and processes, to deliver and service improvements
  • Experience with project management practices, open source, cloud platforms, CRM, and digital services
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to take collective responsibility for the governance of our charity
  • Ability to work at a strategic level whilst understanding the detail and complexities of delivery
  • Ability to analyse risks and opportunities, and take a balanced approach to both.
  • Professional networks, and a willingness to draw on contacts as appropriate
  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Passion for contributing and making a difference in people’s lives, with the energy and drive to help
