A world where children have access to education, their rights are protected and they're treated equally. Trustees help to make this happen! Programme partners in Central America and we're going worldwide this year!

What will you be doing?

  • We are looking for someone with proven experience in developing corporate partnerships and digital fundraising.
  • We are focused on:
  • Helping street children off the streets, out of danger and protecting their rights.
  • Providing education and skills for independent living for a brighter future.
  • Ensuring that Children’s rights are at the core of our work.
  • All Trustees are expected to assist Compass Children’s Charity to secure a sustainable and diverse funding base for the organisation.
  • Trustees will be required to attend three/four meetings at either our office in Kettering, Northants or in London and may be requested to assist at further meetings and events as required.
  • The position of a trustee is voluntary but reasonable Trustee-related expenses will be reimbursed by prior approval.
  • Be able to commit 10 hours a month.
  • This year we want to increase our restricted and unrestricted income, raise awareness of street & at risk children. Expand our project support worldwide - YOU would be an integral part of making this difference

What are we looking for?

  • To help us develop and expand our work, we are looking for an enthusiastic Trustee with knowledge and experience of developing corporate partnerships and digital fundraising.
  • The ideal candidate will have innovative ideas and be able to think creatively.
  • Pro-active, innovative and able to commit to completing actions, be able to work as part of small team in a small charity - we do not have unlimited resources so everyone has to be prepared to take ownership of their role and commit to making a difference. It will be hard work and challenging but very rewarding.

What difference will you make?

As a small charity we work to do an enormous amount with not a lot of money - we do not have large budgets or resources to implement many of our activities. So you would need to be resourceful and pro active to take ownership of the tasks actioned, but you would have the enormous satisfaction of knowing your role was vital

Your contribution and input would make a huge difference to the Charity and our programme partners.

What's in it for the volunteer?

Being a Trustee for small charity is a challenge but very rewarding. Everything you achieve and accomplish will make a direct difference to street and at risk children.

We are a small friendly, pro-active professional team, committed and passionate about the work we do.  We always want to do more and are not satisfied to sit back and coast - you need to know that this is not the standard Trustee role where you turn up every now and then to a meeting, read a few papers then leave till the next meeting. We will ask a lot of you, to be involved, to work on your area of expertise for the charity weekly in your own time but you will make a difference
