Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Help us to identify, establish and grow our online network of potential donors and help us to inspire individuals, grant makers, trusts, and companies to support our mission to help preserve built and natural heritage in Georgia.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside the UK Secretary and NTG Board, lead prospect research and develop an overall fundraising strategy to leverage potential European and American donors with an interest in Georgia. Liaise with National Trust Georgia colleagues in Tbilisi to coordinate fundraising efforts within Georgia for new projects.

  • Identify and establish viable fundraising networks
  • Suggest efficient use of customer relationship management tools; manage database
  • Utilising the Global Giving online platform and tools, help us manage the donor journey, ensuring that donors are effectively stewarded, thanked and recognised for their support and engaged further.
  • Contribute to key communications with important stakeholders and funders, for example drafting letters or writing funding proposals, and reports (for both individuals and trusts and foundations), updating the NTG Facebook, website and managing e-communications and newsletters as needed.

What are we looking for?

  • Developing and implementing fundraising strategy at an international non-profit or heritage organisation
  • Using a Customer Relationship Management system (e.g. Tessitura, Raisers Edge, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Blackbaud) or other relational databases.
  • Ability to summarise complicated ideas and projects concisely, engagingly, and persuasively for a public, customer, or donor audience.
  • Desktop research skills, with the ability to collect, assess and summarise information and present it in a user-friendly format.
  • Experience of engaging and managing relationships with significant donors

What difference will you make?

Georgia possesses many historic sites worthy of saving and promoting, either as tourist venues, or workable businesses that will pay for the structure’s (or land’s) upkeep. Through campaigning, awareness raising and providing expert advice and training, the National Trust of Georgia provides a practical means of helping Georgians to preserve buildings and land.

We have recently completed two major projects and seek to grow our small, active, award-winning organization with skilled volunteers to increase our impact.  Expert fundraising is absolutely essential to making this happen. Sharing this expertise with volunteers will help the NTG become a more viable and sustainable force for good.
