Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

We are looking to complete out first SROI calculation - anyone with experience with the calculation is desired! We use the power of football to improve mental and physical wellbeing, foster community cohesion and life-skill growth for Young People.

What will you be doing?

This is a flexible role that would greatly rely on the expertise of the volunteer. The volunteer would ideally work alongside our team, offering advice on the calculation and its assumptions. Our organisation is constantly improving its data culture, however, we would highly benefit from an experienced professional with practical knowledge in which methods and routes are best to calculate an SROI figure that is largely accurate in a relatively short time frame.

The volunteer will work with the M&E team within the office. The volunteer would be capable of working virtually exclusively or partially.

What are we looking for?

Ideally, the volunteer would have participated in an SROI calculation from beginning to end within a sports or health field. High critical thinking and time management skills as well as great discernment would be the skills held to the highest regard as the timeline of this calculation is short and multiple iterations of the calculation would be unfeasible. Above all else, our team is extraordinarily passionate about the mission of the charity and would therefore best be paired with someone who shares that same passion.

SROI qualifications and experience in quantitative research are desirable, but not necessary.

What difference will you make?

This SROI calculation will be a turning point for the organisation, especially with our goal of increasing the number of Young People within our weekly sessions from the current 5 000 to 20 000 by 2028. This calculation would enable us to get the funding to help even more Young People realise their potential on and off the pitch.
