We are looking for someone to manage our social media accounts and website to promote the objectives of our charity and support our members

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

  • Working with Trustees and the office staff, develop a Social Media communications schedule, including content for our members, fundraising appeals, and other information from our National organisation. 
  • Develop content for Social media posts (specifically for our local website, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
  • Identify opportunities to increase our reach, influence and fundraising or campaigning initiatives by helping to create engaging and relevant content, including text, images, and short videos.
  • Able to edit and re-size images and videos for different platforms. 
  • Work with our members, volunteers and office staff to produce interesting stories that can be translated into social media content.
  • Manage the charity Google Ad Grant - developing and reporting on campaigns to make most effective use of the Charity grant.
  • Monitor social media performance to optimise our content and grow engagement with our online audience.

  • Proven experience managing Social Media for small Charity/Not-for-profit organisations, with hands-on experience of planning, implementing and evaluating effective social media campaigns
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and visually appealing content.
  • Proficiency in editing images and video clips for social media channels, and knowledge of best formats, aspect ratios and lengths of content for each platform/channel.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools, analytics platforms, and scheduling software a plus.
  • Keen interest in industry trends, digital marketing, and emerging social media platforms.

Understanding of and empathy with the charity sector, experience working with sensitive topics.
