Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Our social media volunteers use their passion and knowledge to promote the activities of the centre and raise vital funds for the cats, though various channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

Through our social media platforms, you will be promoting the work of Cats Protection, gathering information from across the organisation and locally within your team or volunteer group, writing and creating social media content, ensuring it complies with policies and guidelines, scheduling and posting social media content  and monitoring activity and responding to comments on social media channels.

You will be volunteering from your own home but have the support from your volunteer team leader, the admissions centre and the social team.

What are we looking for?

  • A passion for social media and experience of using social media channels in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of using social media
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent writing skills, including good grammar and spelling
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to be part of a team

You will be directly help cats by raising awareness of Cats Protection. A higher profile can help us raise the funds we need for our work, ensure people know they can adopt a cat from us, help promote neutering and help as many people as possible learn more about feline welfare.
