The Fylde Coast Advice & Legal Centre  are looking for a volunteer to support us to maintain and develop our social media activity across all channels including our website, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.

What will you be doing?

The Centre is an orgaqnisation that provides access to justice for those in poverty and those on fixed or low incomes. Through creative engagement we transform lives and celebrate unheard voices.

We are currently seeking a dedicated volunteer to support us to maintain and develop our website and social media activity across all channels including Facebook, linkedin, Twitter and Instagram, YouTube.   and any others.

You will help with:

  • Creating engaging social media content and scheduling social media posts, liaising with staff as needed
  • Creating and sending regular email newsletters
  • Managing content calendars, inputting key social media activities and updating as necessary
  • Managing our social media community including moderating and responding to comments and messages
  • Growing our followers on social media platforms
  • Identifying key influencers and develop influencer engagement strategies
  • Reporting on social media insight data to monitor and evaluate success
  • Monitoring other organisation’s social media to identify trends
  • Making links with appropriate organisations to build new relationships within our online community
  • Keeping up to date with  events and news

This is a voluntary position, however, reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a social media role and/or an experienced and keen user of social media channels like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. 

We need people with:

  • Experience in creating engaging digital content using a range of digital tools
  • Good understanding of social media trends and audiences
  • Knowledge of social media monitoring tools, digital evaluation and analysis
  • Good communication skills including good telephone and writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Ability to research and collate information from the internet

Having an experienced volunteer supporting us in this role would give us the much-needed knowledge and the time to deliver our social media activity more effectively and develop how we use social media so we are making the most of the tools available to us. This role will make a significant difference to us, enabling us to be more effective in spreading the word about our work with people and gain further support for the work we do.
