Help amplify the voice of young London! Reprezent is looking for an SM lead to create content, design campaigns & grow our reach across platforms. Ideal for creatives passionate about youth & culture.

What will you be doing?

We are Reprezent.

We empower, develop and train young people with little or no experience and equip them to create successful futures – at absolutely no cost to them.

Reprezent has grown over 22 years from a small radio project in Peckham to a London-wide youth station collaborating with top institutions like UAL, The Prince’s Trust, Tate and the Southbank Centre, as well as global brands including Nike, Adidas, Apple, Converse and Red Bull.

Our platform is full of energy, talent and impact, but we need help with campaign structure to fully bring it to life online.

The Opportunity

We’ve just launched a brand new £40k website, and now we’re looking for a creative, reliable Social Media Volunteer to help us amplify our work and engage more people online.

This is a hands-on, flexible opportunity to build your portfolio, shape real campaigns, and work alongside our in-house youth team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the team to create and schedule engaging posts for Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Support campaigns for new programmes, live shows, events and partnerships
  • Repurpose content (e.g. quotes, photos, audio) into social-friendly formats
  • Monitor engagement and spot trends
  • Suggest new ways to grow our online presence and connect with our audiences

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for youth culture, music, media or social change
  • Experience using social media for an organisation or project
  • Strong visual or copywriting skills
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe, Meta Business Suite or Later
  • A positive, collaborative approach

What You’ll Gain:

  • A real platform to express your ideas and grow your skills
  • Opportunity to work with an inspiring, youth-led brand
  • Experience and credit for your portfolio
  • Reference or LinkedIn endorsement
  • Flexible volunteering around your schedule

What are we looking for?

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and schedule engaging posts for Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok and LinkedIn

  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite or Later is a plus – but not essential
  • A positive, collaborative approach – and good memes don’t hurt

What difference will you make?

Our work addresses underlying issues which prevent people from fulfilling their potential, mainly:

low aspirations;

low self-esteem;

low skill levels.

The young people we support are amongst the most deprived in the country, scoring in the worst 10% on the index of multiple deprivation. Our core beneficiaries are aged 16-25, 75% BAME, 60% female and primarily locals from South London.

Known as the birthplace of stars like Sherelle, Stormzy, Munya Chawawa, Femi Koleoso, Jamz Supernova, Kenny Allstar, etc.

That's the public persona and what we want our audience to see. The reality is that we are full to the brim with music-obsessed young people from a lot of backgrounds. Those backgrounds are each young person's 'normal' - but it's the side of Reprezent we don't publicise. Amongst our ranks we have care leavers, homeless, beneficiaries with mental health issues and they are all in need of Reprezent and our support. We are dedicated to expand our work to reach tens of thousands of interactive listeners and thousands of young participants. Transforming lives, the economy and the British music scene.
