We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Media & Messaging Lead to join NiB's team. 

What will you be doing?

NiB is dedicated to raising awareness and acceptance of neurodivergent people in the workplace, educating employers, and demonstrating the benefits of neurodivergent talent. Our annual conference is at the heart of this mission, and we are looking for a Social Media & Messaging Lead to amplify its reach and impact.

In this volunteer role, you will take the lead in creating and delivering an engaging social media campaign to promote the conference, connect with attendees, and drive online engagement before, during, and after the event.

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to generate interest and excitement.
  • Plan, design, and schedule engaging posts across all social media platforms in line with NiB’s mission.
  • Live-post during the event, sharing key moments and fostering real-time interaction.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages across social channels.
  • Create high-quality visual and written content for social media, blogs, and event promotions.
  • Work with the team to ensure consistent messaging and tone.
  • Build a sense of community by engaging with attendees online before and after the event.
  • Gather and share feedback from attendees using social media channels post-event.
  • Track and analyse social media performance to inform future campaigns

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in creating and managing effective social media campaigns.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to create compelling content for social platforms.
  • Confidence in live-posting and interacting with audiences in real-time.
  • Experience in designing engaging visuals and multimedia content.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools to measure performance and improve engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A passion for neurodiversity and creating inclusive environments.
