Do you have experience running multiple social media accounts?Basildon Sea Cadets is seeking a talented social media manager to help us create engaging content and improve our profile!

What will you be doing?

You’ll play a key role in raising the profile of Basildon Sea Cadets, promoting the fantastic work that we do to inspire and empower young people through nautical adventure.

You’ll work closely with our team to create and manage social media content that showcases our activities, achievements and events.

We’re looking to grow our online presence, you’ll help us create compelling and visually appealing content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads and similar.

You’ll be responsible for responding to comments, messages and interactions as well as for analysing content performance to continually improve and shape our profile and reach.

You don’t need to wear a uniform and can help us flexibly around your commitments!

What are we looking for?

  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Creative flair for content creation, including basic graphic design
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Passion for youth development, maritime activities or community engagement

What difference will you make?

You’ll be making a positive impact on the lives of young people, and help us to recruit new cadets to grow our unit into a large youth organisation in Basildon.

You’ll be increasing the awareness of Sea Cadets, strengthening our community engagement and links to help create a network of supporters, donors and volunteers.

You’ll also help us showcase the achievements of our cadets and volunteers, inspiring pride and fostering growth.
