At Reach, connecting people, skills and good causes is our mission. We're looking for somebody with a strategic head to shape our approach to social media so that we can inspire, connect and support even more people and good causes. 

What will you be doing?

We're looking for an experienced Social Media Consultant to take the lead and define our approach to social media. Working alongside our Head of Marketing and Communications, you will help develop a comprehensive social media strategy that will build our reputation, raise our profile, and improve engagement with our key audiences. 

We would like our volunteer to:

  • Perform a social media audit, review our existing presence and make recommendations on improvements including audience and competitor analysis, messaging and tone of voice. 
  • Help develop and implement a social media strategy. 
  • Provide guidance on monitoring, reporting and analysing the performance of our social media platforms. 
  • Coach and upskill staff on social media strategy and best practice.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who has experience in the following:

  • Developing and implementing a social media strategy to build reputation, and increase growth and engagement. 
  • Performing a social media audit including recommendations for improvements.  
  • Developing an engaging and coherent brand voice for social media including key messaging.

The volunteer should also have/be:

  • A confident strategic thinker, able to look at the bigger picture. 
  • Creative.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • A team player, able to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Flexible.
  • Ability to quickly understand the needs of our team, organisation and users.
  • Understands and is able to work within the resource constraints of a small charity. 
  • Ability to work autonomously (with support where needed).
