The Sign Language Officer oversees the BSL and Makaton teachers and training course to ensure it effectively trains volunteers to be able to utilise skills at events. 

What will you be doing?

The Sign Language Officer oversees the teachers in running the BSL and Makaton teaching sessions once a week, ensuring volunteers engage in the sessions and thus utilise their skills at events. This involves building lesson plans, working to create engaging sessions and materials and helping to conduct teaching sessions. ​

What are we looking for?

The Sign Language Officer needs to be a volunteer who has some experience managing a team and organising/running a training course. 

What difference will you make?

The Sign Language Officer runs our training program and ensures that a key group of service users have equal access to our services.
