Deadline

Our friendly and active Board of Trustees is looking for a secretary and minute taker.  HDSF supports adults and children in Hertfordshire with physical and/or learning disabilities to take part in physical activities.

What will you be doing?

The Secretary will work closely with the Chair and Chief Operating Officer to support the organisation, recording and monitoring of Trustee meetings and actions.  Our meetings are structured but informal - a mix of online and face to face.  We are a small but growing team who would be happy to support the Secretary to develop the core role, depending on their interests.

The Board meets once a month - quarterly meetings are face to face, the remainder online.   Face to face meetings are usually held in Hatfield.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate with experience of minute taking, particularly for Boards and Committees with strong governance protocols.  They would have excellent verbal and written skills, be a proficient user of IT and would ideally have experience of charity governance.

What difference will you make?

Taking over the role of the Secretary will provide significant support to the SMT - to take a more active part in meetings and focus on strategic matters.  You'll be part of a small and friendly team - we'll give full induction training and support your development in the role.

Before you apply

We would appreciate a copy of your CV and a covering letter explaining why you would like to volunteer for this role with HDSF.
