What will you be doing?

ASK PIP Charity is a relatively new CIO charity, established in 2022. It seeks to establish a robust board of trustees to enable us to continue to fulfil its cause. We are looking to recruit a new Secretary for the board of trustees.

What are we looking for?

We require that the trustee's secretary be passionate about supporting and advocating for children in the care system, children in need, and low-income families.

Experienced in board development and organisation, legal and regulatory compliance. Good communication and liaison. Good record-keeping and document management. Excellent organisation skills and good knowledge of charity governance. Proactive approach and commitment to ASK PIP's mission.

What difference will you make?

Role Summary: The Secretary Trustee ensures effective governance, legal compliance, and smooth communication within ASK PIP Charity. They organize Board meetings, maintain records, and support strategic success through administrative duties and Board development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Board Administration: Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes, ensuring timely distribution to the Board.
  2. Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ASK PIP complies with legal obligations, including filing reports and maintaining necessary records.
  3. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication between Trustees, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring all Board members are well informed.
  4. Board Development and Support: Assist in Trustee recruitment, induction, and training, ensuring the Board remains effective and engaged.
  5. Record Keeping and Document Management: Maintain official records, including meeting minutes, legal documents, and other Board communications.
