School Governor vacancies at Bengeworth CE Academy, Evesham WR11 3EU

What will you be doing?

Bengeworth Trust Board are looking to appoint governors to the school governing body (SGB) at Bengeworth CE Academy in Evesham, a large, high-performing school that has strong Christian values and a belief that effective education can positively benefit long-term outcomes within the community.

What are we looking for?

We are currently recruiting to a number of vacancies on our Governing board that have arisen as some governors have moved onto the MAT Board of Trustees. Our parent body is well represented, but our external skill set is now limited due to these vacancies arising. Consequently, we are looking for external volunteers that feel they could offer some of their time and skills to the role of school governance. Governors have a key role to play in schools; ensuring pupils get the very best possible quality of care and education. Governing bodies do this through meeting regularly and visiting school in order to gain an understanding of how the school operates, what its strengths are and the challenges they face. Being a Governor is a valuable role and not only offers the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our children but also gives individuals the opportunity for personal growth. If you think that you might be interested in the role of School Governor or would just like to know some more information, please can you register interest with our Trust through Reach Volunteering.

What difference will you make?

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about organisational improvement, bringing skills and experience from their own background, profession or career to help shape the quality assurance role that governors play in our Trust schools.
