We need a Governor to join our high performing and inspiring team. We are a community school at the heart of Southfields. Our motto is Learn Create Grow Together and children thrive in this creative and academically successful school.
Providing strategic governance to ensure sound leadership of the school in the following areas: education, finance, safeguarding, personnel, health and safety and accountability.
The role involves attending six meetings a year (8am start) and two visits a year within your specified area (e.g safeguarding or maths).
The Governing Board is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers, who invest a huge amount of good will and time for the sole purpose of improving the education of every child in our school. The Governing Board is a dynamic group of highly skilled individuals who focus on supporting the Head Teacher and the staff to shape the strategic direction of school.
A governor will be expected to have at least 3 years experience in one of the listed skills areas.
Improving outcomes for children to set foundations for a successful future regardless of background.
