Yorkshire Regional Netball Association is one of 9 member organisations of England Netball. We represent England Netball members in Yorkshire, and work closely with England Netball staff to deliver and develop Netball in Yorkshire.

What will you be doing?

Netball organisations across the Country are committed to the establishment of a safe, fair and inclusive sporting environment and put this at the heart of everything they do. In this Safeguarding role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring this. 

You will act as the Regional Safeguarding Lead for Yorkshire and will lead the case management, and the development and implementation of safeguarding and welfare policies and processes within Yorkshire.

What are we looking for?

  • In order to be a volunteer on the Regional Management Board, you will need to be, or be willing to become a member of England Netball.
  • You will NOT hold any other role within Netball that may cause a Conflict of Interest in carrying out the role of Regional Safeguarding Lead
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of Netball
  • Able to uphold the regions code of conduct and behave professionally at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Safeguarding experience
  • Good IT skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Publisher)
  • Ability to be flexible and work with volunteers from diverse backgrounds to build and maintain effective networks
  • Take an interest in and respect the viewpoints of others
  • Access to email, WhatsApp and telephone

Before you apply

The term limit for this role is 4 years, after which you will be eligible for re-election for one further term of 4 years. The maximum term limit is 8 years.
